The Coretalk components:
a. The GSM modem provides your company with the ability to become fully SMS enabled.
There are three different types of GSM modems that may be used.
- PCMCIA card that is inserted into a laptop.
- A USB GSM modem that connects via the USB port.
- An industrial serial port modem with independent power source and antenna.
The choice of modem used typically depends on the application.
The USB modem is the recommended modem for standard Coretalk operation. It does not require an independent power source; it is provides good mobility and is easily inserted or removed from your PC/Laptop.
It will work well in applications where you are regularly accessing your Coretalk.
The most robust modem is the industrial modem, it is well suited to be used when running Coretalk as a service, or in conditions where Coretalk is rarely monitored, used as a backend solution performing complex database integration tasks.
The PCMCIA card is well suited to specific laptops and can provide a stable SMS gateway.
- The Sim card is inserted into the GSM modem in the same manner as you insert a Sim card into a common mobile phone.
- The Sim card is associated to a particular SMS tariff plan provided by your telecommunication company of choice.
- Generally most telecommunication companies offer a variety of postpaid plans, some of them are targeted to providing cheap SMS rates.
Coretalk offers two software solutions.
This is the basic requirement to become fully SMS enabled.
This requires an installation of Coretalk CRM SMS and provides the additional ability to use the Coretalk mobile reporting tool.

Onsite technical support is provided on an hourly rate.
In many instances Coretalk technical support is provided when your PC crashes and the product needs to be re-installed and configured.
Additional networking or training is requested.
